Good value 2-bed riverside Chelsea vacation rental
2 Bedrooms • 2 Bathrooms • Sleeps 4
£ 225 /night
A quiet, traditionally furnished, garden floor apartment beside the River Thames, this Chelsea vacation rental would be great for a short visit. Being so close to the river on the Chelsea Embankment, the river-taxi nearby, will take you to all the important London sights and this location is great for walks over Albert Bridge into Battersea Park where you can play tennis, visit the kiddies zoo and go rowing on the lake. The apartment has lovely high ceilings giving a great sense of space to an already large living room and is good value for its location.
The 2 double bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms, are situated at either end of the flat enabling a good degree of privacy to each room. A door leads out from the Master bedroom into a courtyard with some greenery and a table and chairs (good for smokers as there is No Smoking permitted within the flat!). The accommodation is not suited to very young children (under 5) as it is split-level. The owners live upstairs on the ground floor and the building has a lift and a porter.
Three steps lead down into the sitting room from the kitchen which is furnished with some antique sideboards and cupboards along with a comfy sofa and armchair. The dining table seats four. There’s a modern TV (not shown) and Wifi is present.
Cooking & Dining:
The front door to the apartment leads straight into a narrow but modern, fully equipped kitchen with faux marble formica work surfaces, an electric hob and oven, a dishwasher and a fridge/freezer and microwave. There’s a small breakfast table with two chairs.
The master bedroom has a king size, 5’6”wide double bed with fitted wardrobes and an ensuite power shower cubicle, basin and loo. A door leads out into the courtyard. The guest bedroom has a standard 4’6” wide double bed and a wardrobe. This leads into the bathroom that has a shower over the bath with a curtain, basin, look and washing machine. No tumble dryer, but the flat is warm and there is a clothes horse getting clothes dry.
The master bedroom has access out onto an inner courtyard of the building. It’s not the most attractive space, but does provide quiet, private, outside space with a table, chairs and lots of plant pots.
The apartment has Wifi internet access as well as a new TV, but no DVD, audio or Ipod deck. The kitchen has a cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with small freezer compartment. The washing machine is in the guest bathroom and there’s a clothes horse for drying. There is a lift from the ground floor downstairs and the building has a resident Porter.
This 2-bed Chelsea vacation rental is available for short visits and has a minimum booking of 3 nights.
It’s right by the River, very close to Chelsea Physic Gardens, less than 10 minutes walk to King’s Road and near to the Royal Hospital for the Chelsea Flower Show. On your doorstep are two Gordon Ramsey favourites: the more modest Foxtrot Oscar, which does a lovely fish & chips, and his flagship Gordon Ramsay at 68 Royal Hospital Road. Your best local pubs are The Surprise on Christchurch Terrace and the Cheyne Walk Brasserie. A short way down the Embankment is Thomas Carlyle’s House and in the other direction is the National Army Museum. King’s Road has all the shopping and the Saatchi Gallery.
The nearest tube station is Sloane Square, a 15 minute walk. The river taxi from Cadogan Pier by Albert Bridge is just a 3 minute walk and this can take you all the way down river to Canary Wharf and Greenwich. Your nearest bus route is the 170 which will take you to Victoria Station.
