We are always looking for top quality private homes in Central London to rent short term, so get in touch if you think you’d be interested!
Who we are
Accommodate London is a division of Tennis London which has been renting homes to top players – including many champions – media and sponsors of the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament for 25 years.
We pride ourselves on providing a high level of service to owners and visitors alike, so you benefit from our experience in having handled thousands of rentals. References from satisfied owners who have been renting their homes through us are available on request.
How the rental works & What we charge
The minimum stay is usually 1 week, however shorter stays are sometimes possible which can be reflected at a higher rate per day. The rent plus a security deposit will be paid by the tenant before they move in. We charge 15% of gross rent. You are paid 50% of the rent a week before they arrive and the balance as quickly as possible after they have left. Our commission is deducted from your second payment, to which we add money from the tenant’s security deposit for any agreed claims you may have.
What our clients want
While private home rentals are often perceived as a lower cost alternative to a hotel, our clients are quite demanding. The properties we offer must be very well maintained, attractively finished and everything has to work properly! Each home must be fully equipped with linen, towels, phone line, flat-screen TV, DVD, washing machine and tumble dryer.
A well-equipped kitchen and modern ensuite bathrooms with power showers are desirable. WiFi is absolutely essential. Renting out your home also involves a certain level of commitment to which we are keen to maintain. As well as paying you substantial sums of money, our clients will have booked flights, organised family or company members, planned important events and arrangements, all of which revolve around their rental booking. It is very important that their rental is both smooth and secure.

What you need to do
Decide whether your property is actually suitable for rental and ask yourself if you are prepared to put in the effort needed to make it a success. Would you be happy to rent your own property? Bathrooms may need an update, kitchen equipment replaced, walls painted, perhaps even an overall refresh of the interior.
You will have to provide several sets of keys and details of burglar alarms and any other relevant information, such as days of rubbish collection. Your personal effects should be neatly stowed away. Clients understand that this is your home, so you do not need to empty your wardrobes, but you do need to make enough hanging space and drawer space available for guests in each bedroom.
Insurance against damage
You will need to check with your insurance about short term rentals. They probably won’t cover you for contents, but will keep cover for buildings insurance.
Damage is rare. In our experience, it happens in approximately 3% of rentals, but it does happen, so we have a clear process for dealing with it. If any internal damage or breakage occurs, you may make a claim from the deposit by prior agreement and after we have come to photograph it.
If you can’t be there to meet them and show them how your home works, we are happy do this for you for an hourly service charge of £25.00.
